Agua Caliente is the only greyhound track currently operating in Mexico. Located in Tijuana, the track is approximately ten minutes from the border and is on the American racing circuit. Local greyhound rescue groups have been finding homes for greyhounds retired from this track for over ten years and over that time has established a relationship with track personnel that has benefited thousands of greyhounds and their families.
Currently, GPA has a Pet Kennel on track property where greyhounds wait for adoption groups to pick them up. Our GPA chapter has always taken the sick and injured greyhounds first, and we are notified immediately by track management when they have greyhounds meeting this criteria.
