Two come join us for two major CalGAP events this weekend!
The Irvine Pet Trek is a half day event of pet-related festivities including a walk-a-thon and shopping area. Be sure to come by our booth – just look for the CalGAP sign and big pen of greyhounds! The vendor and entertainment areas are free admission, but the pet walk-a-thon does have a registration fee. If you’re interested in volunteering with your greys, please call or email us. For location information or to register your pet, visit the Irvine Pet Trek website.
The Race for the Cure event takes place at Fashion Island this Sunday, Sept. 28. We meet at the fountain outside of Robinson-May at 1:00pm. Please plan to join us for fun, exercise, and the opportunity to spread the word about greyhound adoption. After all the Race activities are over, we take our hounds and a stack of business cards and walk around Fashion Island showing off our greys and telling people what wonderful pets they make. There are so many people who come for the Race and we have ample opportunity to introduce greyhounds to the public. We make one very large loop around the center with our greyhound and then head for home. Depending on who stops us, it takes at about two hours, sometimes a little more depending on how many people stop us to talk. We’ll bring a stack of business cards for everyone to present to potential greyhound adopters and those who may have friends who are thinking of adopting a dog.
Hope to see you there!
